Born in Victoria,  Alexandra Blair has travelled and exhibited her works extensively, including a solo exhibition in Jakarta, Indonesia, in 1999 and six commission works in California, USA, in 2004.

 As a teenager, Alex exhibited in local art shows and went on to study at Melbourne College for a Certificate of Applied Art in Interior Design, designing the Moomba Festival of Theatre Trophy during that time.

 In 1979, she spent six months touring Europe and the USA where she was inspired by the art and architecture from ancient and recent history.
