I've always loved nature and had an affinity with all things natural since I was a small child. I'm always picking things-up…seeds, interesting sticks, seed pods, shells… I began creating baskets out of natural plant fibres collecting and drying vines, stems and such from plants. These creations moved into more sculptural pieces still using plant fibres, and incorporated both organic and inorganic materials as well as found objects.

My art connects to my personal life journey and its stories. What's happening in the world or my family are all sources of inspiration. I read and think a lot and these ideas also become a part of what I do. I also paint, draw and explore new mediums constantly!
