Yasi

Price:

Yasi

A swirling cyclone of red, orange and yellow is super-imposed upon the purple plates of the Tasman Sea. The thin red lines (left of centre) represent the old spreading axis that built the Tasman Sea. The dark blue blobs, below the swirling cyclone, are the sea-mounts left by a hot spot as the Australian Plate drifted north.

The dice showing “five” represents the uncertainty of the force of cyclone Yasi, as it approached the east coast of Australia in 2011.
