The Gallery is owned by local couple Valkyrie Blacksmith & Cameron Stewart of Teviotville, who share a same passion for the arts and commitment to the local arts community. The Gallery was officially reopened in their name on August 28, 2010.

Established in 2002 by artist/photographer, Dany Weus, and his journalist wife, Vivienne,  artandsoulgallery and artandsoulcafe aim to celebrate all the good things in life. The gallery was officially opened on August 3, 2002, by then Queensland Minister for Primary Industries and Rural Communities, the Hon. Henry Palaszczuk, MLA, who also opened the extended gallery and cafe in September 2005.
