Fiona Sutherland
Fiona Sutherland is an accomplished artist who has exhibited extensively throughout the U.K. and Australia since 1986. Born in Dundee, Scotland, Fiona studied Fine Art at the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, obtaining a BA Honours Degree.
She worked as a studio artist with Madame Tussauds in London for two years and was selected to represent Scotland at the Europe Art D’Art Travel Award in Niort, France. Fiona was commissioned by the Glasgow City Council to provide eight sculpted figures for the city’s Art Lovers’ House. Since arriving in Australia, she has become known for her distinct style in both sculptures and paintings. In 2004, she won one of the four $20,000 Acquistive Awards at the Casuarina Beach Sculpture Walk competition in northern New South Wales. She also won the $500 Emerging Artist Award at the "Swell" Sculpture Festival on the Gold Coast.
